A total of 30 residents of the Bahay Tuluyan ng mga Bata attended livelihood skills training sessions conducted by the students of the De La Salle Dasmariñas last October 16. Students of the College of Business Administration and Accountancy taught the residents, 11 to 19 years old, on making bead crafts, DIY ice cream, and graham balls.

The Bahay Tuluyan ng mga Bata (Home for Girls) is a center managed by the DSWD Field Office IV-A that caters to girls who are victim-survivors of abuse, maltreatment, and abandonment.

The center provides various services to the residents for their protection, care, and rehabilitation. Livelihood skills training activities such as this enable the residents to earn income while inside the center and learn income-generating opportunities that they can use once they are reintegrated to their families and communities.
