The local government of Lopez, Quezon stepped up their support and commitment in combatting human trafficking, including online sexual abuse or exploitation of children. Last September 6-7, various stakeholders in the said locality attended a series of capacity building sessions conducted in partnership with the DSWD Field Office IV-A.

The said activity focused on orienting high school students of Hondagua National High School about online sexual abuse or exploitation of children as well as how they can avoid such situations and how they can participate in combatting it.

Further, the activity also engaged and capacitated the members of the Local Committee on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and Children (LCAT-VAWC), Barangay VAWC desk officers and child development workers in addressing and handling human trafficking cases in their respective areas.
