As part of the reformation and rehabilitation of the residents, the National Training School for Boys (NTSB) conducted a leadership training to selected residents last August 16-19.

These residents are elected officers of their respective cottages who are partners of the staff of the NTSB in managing the residents along participation to activities, following of rules and regulations as well as conflict resolution.

According to Social Worker Cherry Rose Tolin, this training enables the officers to develop their leadership skills, which they can use not only while inside the center but also once they are reintegrated to their respective communities.

Included in the lectures provided to the residents are effective communication, good decision making, and conflict management.

The NTSB, located in Tanay, Rizal, is a facility managed by the DSWD Field Office IV-A that provides rehabilitative care to children-in-conflict with the law. [with reports from CRATolin]
