The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) will be holding a nationwide holiday festival and bazaar dubbed  as ‘PaskuJuan: Salu-Salo sa Pagbabago’ on November 30, 2014.  The activity will serve as a venue for the different family beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program and the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) to showcase and sell their livelihood products.

The whole day affair, which will be conducted simultaneously in every region, will also feature a short talent presentation and livelihood demonstrations / presentations from selected family beneficiaries and invited guests.

In the CALABARZON Region (Region IV-A), the ‘PaskuJuan’ will be conducted at the Pacific Mall, Lucena City.

According to DSWD Secretary Corazon Juliano-Soliman, the conduct of PaskuJuan is part of the Department’s initiative of empowering poor families through livelihood skills training and capital assistance which would enable them to start their own micro-enterprise under the SLP.

“We encourage the public to do their Christmas shopping in the PaskuJuan Bazaar, and patronize the products of our beneficiaries and help them move closer to their dreams of achieving self-sufficiency,” Sec. Soliman added.***
