From the Php20 she budgets for her family of six, forty-year-old Estrella Atienza (in white) of San Francisco, Quezon now manages fund 1,000 times bigger for their livelihood group under the Sustainable Livelihood Program.  Her family’s truthfulness and faith to one another led them to overcome all the struggles and challenges they encounter as a family, as a beneficiary of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program or as community volunteer under Kalahi-CIDSS leading to an improved life especially for the children.  Her story “Bente,” produced by students from the Lyceum of the Philippines University, was awarded as the third place winner in the recently concluded 2013 DSWD Convergence Documentary Film Competition at National Commission for Culture and the Arts office in Intramuros, Manila.***
