August 08, 2025 – The DSWD, through its Field Office IV-A, continues to extend support to local government units (LGU) in the CALABARZON as around 4,300 families remain displaced due to the effects of the southwest monsoon and typhoons #CrisingPH, #DantePH, and #EmongPH.

As of 4:00 PM of August 7, 2025, there are still 106 open evacuation centers in the region based on the reports received by the Field Office from the LGUs. A total of 79 of these evacuation centers are in Laguna Province, mainly in localities surrounding the Laguna Bay.

The Field Office continues to monitor the situation in these evacuation centers and provide support to the LGUs in ensuring the safety and protection of the displaced families as well as identification of alternative evacuation sites for displaced families in schools.

To date, the DSWD has provided a total of PhP168.53M worth of assistance, composed of 246,696 family food packs and other relief items such as hygiene kits and sleeping kits.
