August 06, 2025 – The local government of San Pascual, Batangas committed to provide support for the continuous development of 272 families in the locality who graduated as beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) last July 31, 2025.

These families were assessed by the DSWD to have reached self-sufficiency or have the capacity to support their needs without the support of the program.

“Bagama’t kayo ay nakapagtapos na sa programa, kayo pa rin ay patuloy naming aalalayan at susuportahan. Ang inyong pagtatapos ay hindi wakas, kundi simula ng panibagong yugto kung saan kami sa LGU [local government unit] ay handang umagapay upang mapanatili ang inyong natamong antas ng kaunlaran at kabuhayan,” shared San Pascual Mayor Rosario Anna Victoria Conti, in her message to the graduates.

During the graduation ceremony, Mayor Conti led the signing of the LGU’s sustainability plan for the 4Ps graduates. This plan contains the detailed interventions and services, including educational assistance, skills training, and job referrals, which may be accessed by the 4Ps graduates to sustain their gains from the program.

“Huwag po kayong mangambang kayo ay mawawalan ng gabay, sapagkat ang ating LGU ay nananatiling kaagapay ninyo sa pagtahak sa landas ng tunay na pagbabago,” shared Mayor Conti.

Meanwhile, the 4Ps graduates in the locality expressed their gratitude to the 4Ps as well as the support of their local government in contributing to the attainment of their improved level of wellbeing.

“Lubos po ang aking pasasalamat dahil nakikita ko ang bunga ng aming sakripisyo at suporta ng programa. Sana po ay mas marami pa kayong matulungan at maabot ang mas marami pang pamilyang nangangailangan na may pangarap na makaahon sa buhay,” shared Lourdes De Juan, one of the 4Ps graduates, who proudly added that two of her children are already civil engineering and nursing graduates. [with reports from ACGuerra]
