During the exploratory meeting conducted last July 3, the 4Ps Municipal Operations Office in the said town lobbied for the institution’s support to enable 4Ps families to reach self-sufficiency.

According to Dianne Manalo, one of the 4Ps Municipal Links in the said town, their team discussed potential areas of collaboration with the university, particularly along the university’s existing programs such as extension services, sustainable development, and gender and development.
Some of the identified interventions that may soon be available for 4Ps beneficiaries in Lemery include livelihood training, values formation, and educational programs.
The 4Ps Municipal Operations Office and the BSU TNEU Lemery Campus are continuing their discussions to institutionalize the partnership and map out interventions for 4Ps beneficiaries.
In the CALABARZON Region, academic institutions are also being tapped to provide support interventions utilizing their expertise and existing platforms to address gaps in the implementation of the program.
To date, there are already 10 academic institutions within the region that have a formal partnership agreement with the DSWD Field Office IV-A for the provision of various support services in the implementation of the 4Ps. [with reports from DRManalo]
