June 16, 2025 – Seventeen (17) residents of the Bahay Tuluyan ng mga Bata (Home for Girls) recently received their National Certificate Level II on Bread and Pastry Production after completing their skills training and passing the national assessment of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
The skills training was provided for free by Arnold Janssen Catholic Mission Foundation, Inc., a partner-organization of the center in terms of provision of alternative education and skills training to the residents.
The Bahay Tuluyan ng mga Bata, located in Dasmariñas City, Cavite, is a facility managed by the DSWD Field Office IV-A. It provides care, protection and rehabilitation to five-17 years old girls who are victim-survivors of different forms of abuse.
As part of the interventions inside the center, residents are provided with skills training that they can use while undergoing rehabilitation inside the center and also once they are reintegrated to their families and communities. [with reports from RAAMarcellana]
