May 15, 2025 – Various civil society organizations (CSOs) in the Province of Laguna commit continuous partnership with the DSWD Field Office IV-A along the implementation of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in the province. During the provincial external stakeholders’ meeting last May 9, 2025 in Calamba City, five CSOs planned out interventions that they can provide to address the needs of the program and its beneficiaries.
These CSOs include CARE Philippines, Laguna State Polytechnic University San Pablo Campus, Laguna Prime Multipurpose Cooperative, Metro Ormoc Community Multipurpose Cooperative, and Mapua Malayan Colleges of Laguna.

In the said meeting, the 4Ps Laguna Provincial Operations Office presented the results of the social welfare and development indicator (SWDI) assessment to the CSOs so they could identify and plan out interventions or services they can provide to the beneficiaries.
The SWDI assessment is regularly conducted by the DSWD to all 4Ps households to assess their current situation. The results of this assessment are used by the DSWD to evaluate the effects of the program and address the gaps that hinder the households from improving their level of wellbeing.
According to 4Ps Social Welfare Officer III Glady Carandang, the CSOs reported and committed various services including the provision of skills training and livelihood opportunities to the beneficiaries.
In the implementation of the 4Ps, the DSWD continues to strengthen partnerships with non-government organizations and promote collaboration among agencies to help address the needs of the program-beneficiaries leading towards their improved level of well-being. [with reports from GPCarandang]
