For the year 2014, a total of Php184,211.00 worth of assistance was provided to 80 individuals who were victims of trafficking in the CALABARZON Region.

The said individuals are either victims of forced labor / domestic slavery, child trafficking, mail-order bride, sexual exploitation/prostitution and illegal recruitment.  Among the victims are four minors who were rescued in Lucena City.

The assistance provided were temporary residential care, rehabilitative services that include counseling and / critical incidence stress debriefing, skills training, capital assistance for livelihood or income-generating projects and daily subsistence allowance.

Also, regular home visits to victims and their families were conducted.  Other concerned government entities also provided assistance to the victims as deemed appropriate.  Among the agencies that provided assistance to the victims of trafficking for the year 2014 are the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group and the concerned local government units.***
