August 04, 2025 – The DSWD, through its Field Office IV-A, has extended PhP 157.05M cost of assistance to families affected by the southwest monsoon and typhoons Crising, Dante, and Emong in the CALABARZON Region as of 4:00 PM of August 4, 2025.
The said assistance, composed of 222,996 family food packs as well as other relief items such as ready-to-eat food packs, sleeping kits, and hygiene kits, were released to 61 affected local government units (LGUs), including the provincial government of Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal.

To date, LGUs in the region have reported a total of 269,823 families affected by the continuous rains and flooding brought by the southwest monsoon. Of this number, a total of 5,552 families remain inside 142 evacuation centers mainly in areas surrounding Laguna Lake due to prolonged flooding in their communities.
Despite the improved weather conditions, the DSWD Field Office IV-A continues to work with all LGUs to reach out to affected families, especially those who are still displaced and those whose livelihood had been affected.
