August 08, 2025 – The Laguna Prime Multipurpose Cooperative (LPMPC) reinforces the advocacy of the DSWD to household-beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in Calauan, Laguna along the promotion of the rights of women and children.

Last August 5, the LPMPC conducted the ‘4Ps, 4PEACE: Karapatan ng Kababaihan at Kabataan, Alamin at Ipaglaban’ for 87 4Ps beneficiaries in the said town.

Through this activity, the household-beneficiaries were oriented on women and children’s rights, protection against gender-based violence, and promotion of respectful relationships in the home and the community.

According to Aizel Ruzol, the 4Ps Municipal Link in Calauan, this session is one of the interventions to help address the gaps related to awareness of social issues among 4Ps households in the municipality as identified in the latest social welfare and development indicator assessment.

In the 4Ps implementation, the awareness of 4Ps households to relevant social issues such as children’s rights and gender-based violence ensures that they will not be vulnerable to risks that may hamper the family’s development.

The LPMPC is a civil society organization partner of the DSWD Field Office IV-A since 2021 towards addressing gaps in 4Ps households in the Province of Laguna. Some of their initiatives for 4Ps households include the promotion of food security and responsible parenthood among others. [with reports from JATGabinete / AJRuzol]
