August 04, 2025 – The DSWD Field Office IV-A signed a partnership agreement with six (6) development partners last July 29, 2025 for the implementation of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in the CALABARZON Region.

These new partners are the four campuses of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) in Quezon Province (Unisan, Lopez, Mulanay, and General Luna); Youth on the Rock; and, Lipa Archdiocesan Social Action Commission, Inc. (LASAC).

In the implementation of the 4Ps, the DSWD continues to engage civil society organizations, academic institutions, and private sectors to provide support interventions aimed at helping improve the living conditions of beneficiaries.

As part of the partnership agreement, the PUP Campuses in Quezon will provide mental health counseling sessions and livelihood interventions to 4Ps households in their respective localities. Meanwhile, the Youth on the Rock will assist in the conduct of youth development sessions and formation of youth support groups.

The LASAC, on the other hand, will work towards ensuring food security and housing among 4Ps households.

According to Rev. Fr. Jason Siapco, the executive director of LASAC, the partnership between the DSWD and other organizations, including church groups like them, will ensure that more poor families and communities are reached out and that interventions provided to them are targeted towards improving their level of wellbeing.

To date, 43 civil society organizations, academic institutions, and private sectors have partnership agreements with the DSWD Field Office IV-A supporting the 4Ps implementation in the region. [with reports from ARJAblan]
