August 04, 2025 – A total of 173 families in San Nicolas, Batangas graduated as beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) last July 29, 2025. These families are those who have reached self-sufficiency status or are already able to support their needs based on the assessment conducted by the DSWD.

During the graduation ceremony, the DSWD Field Office IV-A, through the 4Ps Municipal Operations Office in the said town, turned over the graduates to the local government for monitoring and provision of aftercare services.

The said services are interventions of the local government unit that support the possible needs of 4Ps graduates including scholarship programs, skills training, and livelihood interventions among others.

In his message to the beneficiaries, Mayor Lester De Sagun committed to the graduates that they will continue assisting them to sustain their gains from the 4Ps and ensure that they will not slide back to their previous living conditions.

In the said municipality, the aftercare support services for 4Ps graduates are institutionalized through Executive Order No. 33, series of 2022. These services are also detailed in the municipality’s sustainability plan, which was signed by Mayor De Sagun during the graduation ceremony.

After the ceremony, each 4Ps graduate also received 40 kilos of rice from the LGU. [with reports from MLBiscocho]
