July 1, 2025 – Students of the Mapua Malayan Colleges Laguna (Malayan Colleges) provided various educational sessions to child-beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in Cabuyao City, Laguna for the month of June 2025. This is part of the partnership agreement between the DSWD Field Office IV-A and the said educational institution aimed at providing various support interventions to enable 4Ps households to improve their living conditions.

Since June 14, students undertaking the National Service Training Program have been conducting four-hour tutorial classes in English and Math for 4Ps children in 14 barangays of the said city.

Other interventions provided by the institution to 4Ps children include waste management and recycling to support the backyard and communal gardens for personal consumption or entrepreneurial activities of the 4Ps households.

The Malayan Colleges is a partner educational institution of the DSWD Field Office IV-A since July 2022 and has been providing various services including career development orientations, youth empowerment sessions, and livelihood interventions to 4Ps beneficiaries. 

In the 4Ps implementation, the DSWD continuously engages with civil society organizations, academic institutions, and business sectors to help address gaps that hamper the improvement of the living conditions of beneficiaries. [with reports from GMTuiza / QRFArboleda]
