July 24, 2025 – At least 7,000 family food packs were released by the DSWD Field Office IV-A yesterday, July 23, in its warehouse in General Mariano Alvarez, Cavite. These food packs are intended for families affected by the southwest monsoon enhanced by typhoons Crising, Dante, and Emong in eight localities in the region.
The food packs, amounting to a total of PhP 4.35 million, were picked up by the respective local government units (LGUs) including San Mateo and Taytay, Rizal; Imus City, Kawit, and Rosario, Cavite; Biñan City and San Pedro City, Laguna; and, Calatagan, Batangas.

As of 4:00 PM of July 23, the number of affected families in the region has reached 43,374. This number is based on the reports received by the DSWD Field Office IV-A from 42 affected LGUs.
Meanwhile, the Department has already provided and distributed PhP 8.14 million worth of family food packs as augmentation support to 21 LGUs in the region. [with reports from WDPDecena]
