July 21, 2025 – The DSWD Field Office IV-A continuously works with local government units (LGUs) to aid families affected by the combined effects of tropical cyclone Crising and the southwest monsoon in the CALABARZON Region. As of July 20, 2025 monitoring, there are 24 affected LGUs in the region who reported a total of 1,766 affected families in their respective localities.
During disaster situations, the DSWD augments LGUs in the provision of assistance to affected families.
Since July 19, the DSWD Field Office IV-A, through its Quick Response Teams at the regional, provincial, and city / municipal levels, are closely coordinating with the LGUs to monitor the effects of the tropical cyclone and southwest monsoon as well as assess the needs of affected families, especially those displaced and staying in LGU-run evacuation centers. These serve as bases for the provision of augmentation support to the affected LGUs.

Through requests from LGUs, the DSWD has released and distributed a total of PhP 1.2M worth of food and non-food items as augmentation support to LGUs including Laurel and Tanauan City, Batangas; Silang, Magallanes and Ternate, Cavite; Cabuyao City, Laguna; Pitogo, Quezon; and Rodriguez and Taytay, Rizal.
Meanwhile, the DSWD Field Office IV-A remains ready to provide appropriate augmentation support to LGUs needing assistance. To date, there are sufficient food and non-food items prepositioned in 69 warehouses across the region ready for distribution to LGUs requesting for support.#
