June 11, 2025 – The MEJA International Manpower Agency, Inc. (MEJA) starts the facilitation of overseas employment of beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in the town of Teresa, Rizal. Last June 5, 2025, the said agency conducted a special recruitment activity aimed at guiding interested beneficiaries throughout the job application process.

The MEJA is a private employment agency that has a formal partnership with the DSWD Field Office IV-A since July 2024. This partnership is geared towards providing employment opportunities to the beneficiaries of the 4Ps in the CALABARZON Region.

As part of the interventions under the 4Ps, the DSWD links beneficiaries to various opportunities, particularly employment, to increase the capacity of the beneficiaries to support their needs and eventually stand on their own.

During the said special recruitment activity in Teresa, a total of 115 beneficiaries underwent employment-related seminars covering personal aspiration creation and financial management.

At the end of the activity, at least 12 beneficiaries expressed their interest to proceed with the job application as domestic helpers in the Middle East.

As part of the partnership agreement, the MEJA will guide all interested participants to complete the application process and begin their employment.

Meanwhile, the DSWD Field Office IV-A and the MEJA are working together to conduct the same special recruitment activity in other areas in the region. [with reports from JAMFanio]
