June 27, 2025 –Beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in Catanauan, Quezon are provided opportunities to access personal insurance services through the partnership of the Palawan Pawnshop Lucena Branch and the 4Ps Municipal Operations Office. From May to June 2025, a series of orientation sessions to the beneficiaries was conducted to raise awareness on the importance of securing personal insurance for their families.

According to 4Ps Municipal Link Baby Joy Dimaano, this is part of the interventions being provided to the beneficiaries for their financial security. She added that this is one of the most crucial indicators in assessing the living conditions of the beneficiaries as insurance coverage may prevent households from experiencing economic shocks due to various circumstances.

“Para po ‘pag may nangyaring hindi maganda, meron pong kaunting halaga na makukuha ang pamilya,” shared Felomie Train, one of the 4Ps beneficiaries who is preparing for their eventual exit from the 4Ps next year.

Currently, orientations are being conducted to other beneficiaries of the 4Ps in the municipality. Beneficiaries, on the other hand, are given the prerogative to apply for their preferred insurance services. [with reports from BJADimaano]
