June 24, 2025 – A total of 237 families from Antipolo City, Rizal graduated as beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) during the Pugay Tagumpay graduation ceremony held last June 23, 2025.

These families are those who have been assessed by the DSWD to reach an improved level of wellbeing and are already able to support the needs of their family even without the support from the program.

In the implementation of the 4Ps, household-beneficiaries are regularly assessed based on several indicators including housing structure, education, employable skills, income, and access to various social services among others. The results of this assessment are used by the DSWD to determine appropriate interventions for each household to guide them towards self-sufficiency. Further, this assessment also determines the readiness of each household to graduate or exit from the program.

During the graduation ceremony, Cecilia Rapollo from Brgy. Cupang shared her gratitude for the support of the 4Ps to their family as it opened opportunities for them to improve their life. According to her, one of her children has already graduated from college and they are also able to afford improving their home.

Meanwhile, the local government of Antipolo City expressed their continuous support to the 4Ps households despite their graduation from the program.

In his message to the beneficiaries, Mayor Casimiro Ynares III, pledged that the local government will provide scholarship programs to members of 4Ps graduates who are in college. [with reports from KMFTorres]
