May 22, 2025 – Beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in the CALABARZON Region may now avail college scholarship programs offered by the PHINMA Education Holdings, Inc. (PHINMA Education). This is after the signing of a partnership agreement with the DSWD Field Office IV-A last May 20, 2025 in Alabang, Muntinlupa City.

Under the said agreement, which was signed by DSWD Field Office IV-A Regional Director Barry Chua and PHINMA Education Country Chief Atty. Christopher Tan, the PHINMA Education will offer scholarship opportunities tailored to the needs of 4Ps beneficiaries where they can enroll in college and pay only PhP 5,500 per semester.

Interested beneficiaries may avail of this scholarship program for business administration and education courses at PHINMA-owned institutions including the St. Jude Colleges of Dasmariñas and Rizal College of Laguna.

According to Atty. Tan, one of the missions of their organization is to reach out to low-income families and give them access to quality education–a reason they have reached out to DSWD as they see the Department as one of the best partners to help them achieve their mission.

Other than scholarship programs, the PHINMA Education also commits to implement various career guidance programs and community engagement activities among others.

In the 4Ps implementation in the region, the DSWD continues to engage various public and private organizations to help address the identified needs of 4Ps households. Such partnerships aim to promote collaboration towards helping improve the living conditions of the beneficiaries of the program. [with reports from ARJAblan]
