May 02, 2025 – The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has partnered with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in the 2025 implementation of the Risk Resiliency Program thru Project LAWA at BINHI in the town of Patnanungan, Quezon.
The DOLE will fund the cash-for-training and cash-for-work for 95 residents who will be involved in the DSWD’s Project LAWA at BINHI implementation under its Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD).

The Project LAWA at BINHI is a program of the DSWD that uses cash-for-training and work scheme to provide opportunities to community residents to take part in addressing food insufficiency and water scarcity brought by climate change. The program also provides venues for residents to temporarily earn additional income to augment their needs.
Last April 7, the participants underwent training on various topics including climate change adaptation and mitigation and disaster risk reduction among others. After the said training, the participants will be involved in a 19-day cash-for-work in establishing a communal garden and planting of fruit-bearing trees.
In exchange for their participation to the Project LAWA at BINHI, the DOLE will provide PhP 11,600 for each beneficiary or equivalent to PhP 560 per day of their involvement with the program.#
