April 22, 2025 – Prior to the start of the next school year, the multi-disciplinary team of Rosario, Batangas start planning out interventions to ensure that all child-beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) are in school.

In a meeting conducted last April 21, the team agreed to conduct focus group discussions in all barangays targeting all out-of-school youth and their parents.

According to 4Ps Municipal Link Raymond Mendoza, the conduct of the focus group discussions will help the team to understand the reasons or cases of each youth, provide them appropriate interventions, and eventually help them get back to their studies.

The multi-disciplinary team in the said town is composed of department heads of the local government including the municipal social welfare and development office and health office, representatives from the Department of Education, Sangguniang Kabataan, Philippine National Police, and World Vision.

In the implementation of the 4Ps, a multi-disciplinary team is being lobbied to be organized and institutionalized to maximize and promote the convergence of efforts of various stakeholders in the management of cases concerning child protection and gender-based violence cases among 4Ps beneficiaries.

Mendoza added that all the members of the multi-disciplinary team committed to help in the continuous monitoring of all cases to ensure that all children in the municipality, even those who are not beneficiaries of the 4Ps, have access to education. [with reports from RCMendoza]
