April 07, 2025 – Forty-two (42) beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) from Batangas City completed the three-day basic drywall and ceiling installation training last March 28, 2025 conducted by the Knauf Philippines.

The Knauf Philippines is one of the civil society organization partners of the DSWD in the CALABARZON Region in providing skills training and employment to 4Ps households to help them earn a stable income for their families.

According to Angela Jeramos, one of the participants from Brgy. Wawa, she learned new skills that she can use to gain employment.

“Natutunan ko ang pagsusukat, pagkakabit, at pagmamasilya ng gypsum board. Malaking bagay po na natutunan ko ito para magkaroon ako ng experience at dagdag kaalaman na magagamit ko na pangsuporta sa aking pamilya,” shared Jeramos.

Architect Charles Ramos, one of the trainers from Knauf Philippines, shared that they will be organizing a job fair for these trained participants so they can be considered for employment with their partner companies.

Since 2022, the Knauf Philippines has been providing skills training to 4Ps beneficiaries in various localities in Batangas Province including Agoncillo, Nasugbu, Calaca City, and Balayan. [with reports from MMNAPerez]
