March 14, 2025 – The DSWD Field Office IV-A has successfully reintegrated five individuals identified to be living in the streets of Cainta, Rizal under its Pag-abot Program. During the reach out activity conducted last March 5, 2025, these individuals expressed their willingness to receive help and go back to their residences.

The Pag-Abot Program, institutionalized through Executive Order No. 52 of the current administration, is a platform for the delivery of services to take street dwellers and other vulnerable individuals off the streets and help them be productive members of the society.

As part of the Pag-abot Program, field workers of the DSWD conducted environmental scanning in the streets of Cainta last March 4 and profiled one family and nine individuals in street situations.

“Mula sa 9 na na-profile, lima sa kanila ang bukas-loob na sumama at sumasang-ayon na makipagtulungan sa DSWD upang mabigyan ng oportunidad na makauwi, magsimula ng sariling kabuhayan, at hindi na bumalik sa lansangan,” shared Aizely Ann Villarico, the project development officer of the Pag-Abot Program, assigned in the profiling, reaching out, and reintegration of clients.

The five clients were documented by their respective barangays prior to being turned over to their respective families. [with reports from AADVillarico]
