Beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in the CALABARZON Region are undergoing Family Development Sessions (FDS) this February 2025 aimed at refueling and working towards their dreams for their children.
The FDS aims to change the behavior of the beneficiaries, especially the parents, in working towards the improvement of their living conditions. These sessions are conducted monthly and in a variation of topics, and attendance to these is one of the co-responsibilities of the parents as beneficiaries of the program.
For the month of February, the topic “Ang Pangarap ng Bawat Magulang para sa Mga Anak,” specifically guides the parents to express their dreams for their children and help them understand their roles in achieving these.

In one of the sessions in Brgy. Malalim na Sanog in Lobo, Batangas last February 10, 4Ps Municipal Link and FDS Facilitator Christine Joy Davalos shared that through their discussions, the parents also identified concrete steps to help them achieve their dreams for the children.
“Bilang isang magulang, gagabayan ko ang aking mga anak at patuloy kong ipapabatid sa kanila ang kahalagahan ng pagiging isang mabuting tao, at ganoon din ang pagbibigay sa kanila ng patnubay hanggang marating nila ang tagumpay,” shared 4Ps beneficiary Teofelo Gupo as his commitment in helping his children achieve their dreams.
Gupo is a tricycle driver and has three children, one of them is already in college.
The 4Ps is one of the poverty alleviation programs of the national government that invests in the health, nutrition, and education of children. To support this goal, not only are the beneficiaries provided with cash subsidies, but they, particularly the parents, are also capacitated and developed into more responsible parents to help their families stand on their own.
