Thirty (30) residents of the Bahay Tuluyan ng mga Bata (Home for Girls) received dental checkup and other services from the Department of Health (DOH) IV-A in a dental caravan conducted inside the facility (Dasmariñas City, Cavite) last February 19.
This is part of the DOH’s celebration of the National Oral Health Month, instilling the importance of teaching children proper dental hygiene including regular toothbrushing and proper diet.
Dentists from the DOH IV-A provided services such as oral prophylaxis, fluoride varnish, and application of pit and fissure sealants. They also provided dental kits to the residents to encourage them to always take care of their dental health.

According to OIC Center Head Rhodora Sajor, the residents, including the staff at the center, are grateful to the DOH for always providing services to the residents.
The Bahay Tuluyan ng mga Bata is a facility managed by the DSWD Field Office IV-A that provides care and rehabilitation to girls who are victim-survivors of different forms of abuse.
Last February 13, the same dental services were also provided by the DOH to the residents of the Regional Haven for Women and Girls in Rosario, Batangas, another facility managed by the DSWD Field Office IV-A. [with reports from JABAllo]
