Through the continuous coordination with the affected LGUs of the southwest monsoon and #CarinaPH, the DSWD Field Office IV-A has been monitoring a total of 268 evacuation centers housing 12,027 displaced families in the provinces of Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal.

Yesterday, the Field Office mobilized its Regional and Provincial Quick Response Teams for the rapid damage assessment and needs analysis of these evacuation centers. This is part of the monitoring of the DSWD in identifying the actual conditions inside these evacuation centers. Results of this monitoring serve as the basis for the provision of technical assistance to local government units in the management of the evacuation centers as well as provision of necessary assistance for the needs of the displaced families.

Meanwhile, as of July 25 (05:00 PM), the Field Office has provided a total of PhP 2.78M worth of assistance as augmentation support to the affected LGUs.
