The Department of Health (DOH) IV-A capacitated City / Municipal Links (C/MLs) of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in disseminating and teaching health and nutrition topics in support of the First 1,000 Days of Life program of the government. From July 22 to 26, a total of 60 C/MLs completed the training initiated through the partnership of the DOH IV-A and the DSWD Field Office IV-A.

This partnership between the two agencies aims to ensure that the 4Ps field implementers will be reliable and credible sources of information on maternal and child health, particularly to beneficiaries of the 4Ps with pregnant members and children zero to two years old.

Starting September this year, the DSWD will be rolling out maternal and child health as supplemental topics to its regular Family Development Sessions for the 4Ps beneficiaries.

Last October 2023, the DOH IV-A and the DSWD IV-A trained 90 other C/MLs on this topic.#
