Officers of the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) Associations from Rosario, Cavite and Bacoor City completed the basic bookkeeping training last June 24 and 25 respectively. The said training was organized by the DSWD in partnership with the Office of the Provincial Cooperative Development Office in Cavite and the local government units of the two localities.
A total of 31 SLP participants from Rosario and 16 from Bacoor, majority are presidents, treasurers, and auditors of their respective associations, attended the training.
The provision of capacity building activities such as this is part of the design of the SLP and are provided after the associations have been awarded with their seed capital fund and started their respective micro-enterprises. This enables the DSWD to provide continuous assistance to the participants to enhance their capacities in succeeding with their businesses, which will eventually enable the participants to contribute in improving the living conditions of their families.
