A total of six Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) Associations, composed of 100 participants, in the town of Alitagtag, Batangas received their seed capital fund from the DSWD last August 9.

These associations, organized by the DSWD, proposed their respective group micro-enterprises after being provided with basic business livelihood, leadership and organizational training sessions.

They received a total of PhP 1.5 million seed capital fund for starting their micro-enterprises such as vegetable farming, meat shop, livestock, and rice retail among others.

In his message during the awarding ceremony, Alitagtag Mayor Edilberto Ponggos encouraged the associations to work together to ensure that their businesses prosper and that the efforts of all stakeholders, including the seed capital fund, will not be wasted. [with reports from ALReyes]
