4,646 Field Staff, Encoders and Verifiers Needed

In preparation for the 2014 Listahanan assessment of poor families, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) began pooling of manpower needed for the conduct of the said activity.

Based on the report of DSWD Field Office IV-A, a total of 3,958 positions will be needed to be filled up.  These include 123 area coordinators, 637 area supervisors, and 3,198 enumerators. These positions will be assigned in the different municipalities in CALABARZON region alone.

Added to these, 344 encoders and 344 verifiers are also needed but would be based at the Field Office in Alabang, Muntinlupa City.

Interested applicants for the area coordinator, area supervisor and enumerator positions may forward their letter of application and resume to the City or Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office.  Applicants for the encoder and verifier positions may submit their letter of application and resume to DSWD Field Office IV-A, Alabang-Zapote Road, Alabang, Muntinlupa City.  All applicants will be contacted by the Field Office for the schedule of interview and examination.

Listahanan, or formerly the National Household Targeting System for Poverty Reduction (NHTS-PR) is an information management system of the DSWD.  It primarily seeks to identify who and where the poor are and eventually come up with a masterlist of poor families nationwide and for every locality.

To date, there are 389,811 poor households included in the masterlist of poor families based on the 2009 assessment.  The 2014 assessment, considered as the second round of assessment, aims to update the said masterlist.

This masterlist would serve as basis for identifying beneficiaries of the different national and local programs and services for the poor as stated in the Executive Order No 867 (2010).  Among these programs and services are the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program and the Sustainable Livelihood Program of the DSWD.***
