July 16, 2025 – Nine Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) associations from Siniloan, Laguna received their seed capital fund amounting to PhP 3.8M last July 11, 2025. This assistance is intended for the establishment of their chosen group enterprises aimed at helping their respective families and communities.
The said SLP associations, composed of 15 to 30 individuals each, were organized by the DSWD Field Office IV-A and capacitated to start and manage a business. Each association received a total seed capital fund equivalent to PhP 15,000 per member.
Included in the microenterprises that will be opened by the associations are meat shop and meat processing; vegetable farming, rice retailing; hog raising; and hauling services among others.
According to Municipal Mayor Patrick Ellis Go, the local government will support all the associations to ensure their success in their businesses through the provision of capacity building sessions on bookkeeping and financial literacy among others. [with reports from PYBoongaling]
