July 16, 2025 – The DSWD Field Office IV-A and the local government of Taytay, Rizal celebrated the graduation of 1,264 families as beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) during the Pugay Tagumpay ceremony conducted last July 11, 2025. The said ceremony highlighted the success of the beneficiaries in working towards improving their lives and achieving self-sufficiency.
All these families have reached self-sufficiency based on the assessment conducted by the DSWD. This means that based on various indicators including skills, education, and income, these families are already able to support their basic needs and stand on their own.
Ma. Fe Bongar, one of the 4Ps graduates, shared that through the help of the 4Ps, their family is able to slowly improve their lives.
“Nagpapasalamat po ako nang buong puso sa programa sa dami at laki ng naitulong nito sa aming pamilya tulad ng pag-aaral ng mga anak, sa kalusugan nila, at sa mga leksyon sa family development sessions na naibabahagi ko rin sa aking pamilya,” shared Bongar, who also encouraged co-beneficiaries to continuously apply the learnings they gained from the program to ensure their family’s continued success in the future.
Meanwhile, during the ceremony, the DSWD, through the Taytay 4Ps Municipal Operations Office, also endorsed all the families to the LGU for the provision of aftercare services. These services include the provision of support interventions to the graduates to ensure that they do not slide back to their previous living conditions.
During the ceremony, the local government also provided gift packs to the graduates while the Philippine Statistics Authority facilitated the issuance of the national identification cards of the beneficiaries. [with reports from SMAmpaso]
