May 05, 2026 – Sixteen (16) Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) Associations, composed of 198 participants, in Laurel, Batangas underwent a three-day organizational and leadership training from April 21-23, 2026.

The said training is part of the Sulong Dunong Forum, an initiative of the DSWD for the continuous provision of assistance to organized SLP Associations in managing and sustaining their group microenterprises.

“This activity is part of the SLP’s continuing commitment to deliver meaningful capacity-building interventions that enhance the knowledge, leadership, and organizational competencies of its participants,” shared Melantie C. Aceveda, Regional Program Coordinator of the SLP.

The activity featured key sessions on values and leadership development, conflict management and resolution, and workshops on statutory and legal perspectives.

The forum also served as a venue for participants to share their experiences, challenges, and best practices in managing their enterprises allowing peer learning in improving their operations. [with reports from JAVCarandang]
