February 25, 2026 – The local government of Calamba City, Laguna awarded PhP 20,000 worth of sari-sari store package to 10 beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) last February 18, 2026.
This livelihood package, which is under the Tindahan ni Eva initiative of the local government, aims to support small-scale entrepreneurs, particularly those with existing small sari-sari stores, through the provision of added capital to increase their income.
According to Niño Costramos, the 4Ps City Link in Calamba City, this intervention of the local government to the beneficiaries of the 4Ps will provide more opportunities for them to improve their living conditions.

“Sa hirap po ng buhay ngayon, napakalaking tulong ng programang ito upang mas mapalago ang aming munting tindahan at mas mapatatag ang aming kabuhayan,” shared Pearl Venessa Saulog, a 4Ps beneficiary and one of the recipients of the livelihood assistance.
Meanwhile, Jessa Laganzon, another recipient of the assistance, shared her gratitude to the sari-sari store package as according to her, this will greatly help with their family’s daily finances.
The provision of livelihood assistance through the partnership with other stakeholders, including the LGUs, is one of the interventions of the DSWD to 4Ps families to enable them to earn additional income and support the needs of their families. [with reports from NGCostramos]
