February 13, 2026 – The PHINMA Education awarded college scholarships to 53 beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) at the Rizal College of Calamba in Calamba City, Laguna for the upcoming school year 2026-2027.
The said scholarship program, or the Hawak-Kamay Scholarship, is a support intervention of the PHINMA Education to 4Ps beneficiaries in its institutions including the Rizal College of Calamba.
Last February 9, 2026, the Rizal College of Calamba awarded these beneficiaries and their parents with the scholarship certificate and oriented them on the enrollment process.

“Malaking bagay po ito sa akin bilang magulang dahil hindi po madali ang magpaaral sa kolehiyo. Bukod sa gastos sa allowance at pamasahe sa araw-araw, malaking pasanin ang bayarin sa tuition,” said Belinda Magbitang, one of the parents of the recipients of the scholarship.
Meanwhile, the 4Ps students are grateful to the PHINMA Education for the opportunity to lessen their families’ burdens for their college education.
“Nangangarap po akong maging pulis at dahil sa scholarship na ito, I am now one step closer to fulfilling that dream,” shared James Noah Magbitang, one of the recipients of the scholarship.
Other than the Rizal College of Laguna, the PHINMA Education is also offering the same scholarship program in its other schools in the CALABARZON Region such as the St. Jude Dasmariñas College in Dasmariñas City and the Union College of Laguna in Sta. Cruz, Laguna.
The PHINMA Education is an academic institution partner of the DSWD Field Office IV-A offering college scholarships to members of 4Ps households. This is part of the DSWD’s interventions to 4Ps beneficiaries in increasing their opportunities to access higher education and later gain employment to help improve their living conditions.
