February 23, 2026 – Forty-seven (47) beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in Quezon Province received employment assistance in a series of payout activities from February 18-20, 2026 under the DSWD’s Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP).
These beneficiaries are those who were hired-on-the-spot during the Serbisyo Fair conducted by the DSWD, the provincial government of Quezon, and other stakeholders last September 2025.

The said employment assistance, under the SLP’s Employment Assistance Fund (EAF) modality, is provided by the DSWD as additional support for qualified new employees to cover for their pre-employment needs such as medical requirements.
“Hindi ko po lubos maisip na bagamat grabe ang hirap ng pinagdaanan ko bago magkatrabaho ay naging matagumpay ako. Malaki ang ambag nito sa amin, ngayon ay nakakatulong na ako kahit papaano sa aming pamilya,” shared Lady Vicky Catapang, a 4Ps beneficiary from Atimonan, Quezon and one of the recipients of the employment assistance from the DSWD.
During the distribution of the assistance, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer Sonia Leyson emphasized to the beneficiaries the value of their hard work in improving their living conditions.
“Sa kabila ng marami nating naririnig tungkol sa 4Ps, kayo ang patotoo na hindi ang mga naririnig natin ang kabuuhan ng mukha ng 4Ps dahil kayo ang mga patunay na ang mga benepisyaryo ng programa ay talagang nagsisikap,” shared Leyson.
The SLP is a program of the DSWD implemented alongside the 4Ps to improve the capacities of beneficiaries to earn additional income for their families through modalities such as microenterprise development and employment facilitation among others. [with reports from JLOCañones]
