January 29, 2026 – Sixteen (16) beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) from Real, Quezon, including four (4) Dumagat youth, completed their food processing livelihood program last January 27, 2026.
This livelihood program, which started in November 2025, is part of Project CONNECT (Community Outreach for Nurturing New Skills and Empowering Collaboration in Technology), an initiative of the Lubayat National High School in partnership with the local government of Real.

Under this program, the beneficiaries were trained on the production of dried mangoes, spanish sardines, jams, longanisa, and pickled vegetables among others.
“Kahit pala sa edad na 53 ay magkakaroon pa ako ng oportunidad na matuto at makapagsimula ng munting negosyo,” shared Virginia Peñaranda, one of the trained 4Ps beneficiaries from Brgy. Malapad.
Other than Peñaranda, the beneficiaries shared their gratitude to the Lubayat National High School for the opportunity to improve their lives through the training.
“Ito ay aming gagamitin para makatulong na maiangat ang antas ng aming pamumuhay,” shared Amy Veran, a 4Ps beneficiary from Brgy. Lubayat. [with reports from KPMoises/JSAdanza]
