November 28, 2025 – The local government unit (LGU) of Padre Burgos, Quezon accepted 61 graduates of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in the locality endorsed by the DSWD Field Office IV-A, through the 4Ps Municipal Operations Office, during the Pugay Tagumpay Graduation Ceremony last November 25, 2025.

As an initial aftercare support for the said graduates, the LGU awarded PhP 5,000 livelihood assistance to each graduate amounting to a total of PhP305,000.

In the implementation of the 4Ps, part of the responsibilities of the LGUs is the continuous monitoring and provision of aftercare support services to family-beneficiaries who graduated as beneficiaries of the program. This ensures that the 4Ps graduates sustain their improved level of wellbeing and prevent them from sliding back to their previous living conditions.

In the town of Padre Burgos, the LGU committed to provide livelihood assistance for the graduates to enable them to start a small business and earn additional income to support their families’ needs.

During the graduation ceremony, Cherry Ibañes, one of the 4Ps graduates, shared her gratitude for the opportunity to be a beneficiary of the program.

“Naging kaagapay namin ito sa pagpapaunlad ng aming pamilya. Mawala man kami sa programa ay alam naming mas marami pang taong nangangailangan ang mas matutulungan,” said Ibañes.

As part of the ceremony, the graduates also committed to continuously working towards their improved living conditions and working together with the local government for the development of their families and communities. [with reports from NACalderero]
